Chopped Beef with Green Peas
Chinese
Serves 4-5


INGREDIENTS

2 pounds green peas
8 ounces ground beef
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup chicken stock
2 tablespoons cornstarch


COOKING METHOD

In a preheated wok or skillet, place 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.

Bring oil to sizzling point and add chopped beef, green peas, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon sugar. Toss and mix rapidly at high heat for 2 minutes.

Add 1/2 cup chicken stock. Cover and cook at medium high heat for 3 or 4 minutes. Uncover.

Add 2 tablespoons cornstarch gradually. Make paste with 2 tablespoons water.

Turn ingredients 2 or 3 minutes until sauce thickens. Serve with steamed of friend rice.
